Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, at Puy-deDomme, France on the 9th of August 1976. She is the oldest child in a family of four. Since a young age, both her dental doctor parents as well as her teacher mom supported her love of drama and theater. The passion for theater was the one that overshadowed her initial wish to be primatologist. When she was a teenager the rise to fame was quick and accompanied by early success. The beginning of her career came in 1999, the year she first began performing professionally. Following her studies Tautou took part in the French television show for talent scouting called Jeunes Premiers. Tautou went to church and Institut Catholique de Paris during her early years, but is now separating herself from these upbringings. As well as her acting profession she started a modeling career. She is also the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Recently, at Arles Arts Festival, Arles Arts Festival she exhibited the collection of her photographs with the heading Superficial. She focuses her photography on famous people, the media and media who scrutinized her following her emergence on the scene with Amelie. Also, she has several photographs that show her self. Audrey Tautou's first big performance, in the role of Amelie Poulain's leading actress in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie, landed the actress international fame. Amelie made international waves in the field of box office, and also won numerous awards across the globe. The film is still the top-grossing French language film in the US. Following this success Tautou starred in a wide range of films including British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
